Watch the introduction sequence, you will have control over Gwendolyn. The first area is a tutorial that will show you the basics of using Gwendolyn. Follow the instruction that is prompt on the screen. When the correct action is performed, the word Success will pop. This tutorial will show the basics of using Gwendolyn, this includes jumping and attack. When your done head to the next area.

Odin Sphere is an Action RPG published by Atlus and developed by Vanillaware, released in the late end of the PlayStation 2's life cycle. The game opens in an attic room, where a young girl named Alice is reading her grandfather's books, a series.

A wave of soldiers will come at you, defeat them and orbs will pop on the screen. Hold the R1 button to absorb them. These orbs are known as Phozons. Interact with the NPC if you want, when your ready, exit out and select the next destination. (The next destination is a red flag with a marking.)

For every chapter, there is a total of three Phozon Skills. Two of them is obtained within the chapter, one is found as you progress through and the other one is located in a hidden location. The game does provide a vague hint on where to find them, just use the map above as a reference on where they are. The third Phozon skill is obtained when you cleared the chapter. When you obtained the first Phozon Skill, you can use them by opening the skill menu (L1 Button) and can also assign to a shortcut by pressing square.

Mid-Boss : Unicorn Knight

List of Attacks

• Downward Thrust (Creates a shockwave)
• Jump Attack
• Charge, (The Unicorn Knight will charge directly at you, there is a super version where the Unicorn Knight will run across the map three times)
• Tornado (The Unicorn Knight creates a gust that hits both sides, the first wind will hit high and the second hit low)

Boss: Raging Dragon Belial

List of Attacks

• Spits out a chunk of debris (The debris can be knocked back to the boss, causing it to stun.)
• Burrow (Belial will burrow under the sand and will come up to hit you)
• Inhale (Belial will inhale a long breath to swallow you and other debris in the way)
• Tail Slam (Belial will swing it's tail at you, and also causing a small shockwave)

In this chapter you will encounter the traveling Chef, Maury. Maury can cook recipes for you if bring him the right ingredients. You will also need to find the recipe as well. This is the fastest way to level your base level. A method of getting the maximum base exp is to consume Yogurt and then eat the recipes. There is also a trophy for eating all recipes three times. A way of keeping track of the recipes you have eaten is to look at the Red Exclamation Mark on the Bonus, when the bonus is gone, that means you have eaten the recipe three times (Only works for a single character).

As soon as you gain control over Gwendolyn, you can access the Pooka Village. By going to the blue portal near the caslte exit. The Pooka here will sell you almost all the ingredients you can find in the game. You can also go to the Pooka Kitchen on the left and the Pooka Cafe on the right. These places allows you to exchange Valentine Currency for cooked recipes. This is also a quick way of boosting your base level.

So we've been playing Scarlet Blade for a little while now and from what we've noticed. The game seemed a little small and fairly empty. However, upon finally leaving the first zone, we've found.
